I’m a communications specialist, writer, and queer settler. These days I work in emergency communications for Yukon government, often on floods and wildfires. Previously I did freelance journalism writing stories about people and the land, and nonprofit environmental communications. My skills include writing, research, editing, copy editing, fact-checking, photography, multimedia, social media management, and project management. My background is in environment, ecology, and Indigenous rights.

I have a Masters of Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University and was the managing editor for the 2021 Review of Journalism print magazine. See below for my freelance journalism. I also have five years’ experience in nonprofit communications, and a masters degree in environmental change and management. I’ve lived and worked in Toronto, Halifax, and the UK; I live in Whitehorse, Yukon. When I’m not at work, I love reading, gardening, walking in the mountains, and swimming in cold lakes.
